His Grace Deva Gaura Hari Prabhu's legal name is David Hooper and he was initiated by H.H. Jayapataka Swami. His birth country is Penang, Malaysia. He likes to describe himself so that other like minded devotees can find him by saying, "Chant Hare Krishna and be happy." He has been resident of ISKCON Mayapur for some years. He came in contact with the Hare Krishna Movement through food for life and Srila Prabhupada's books in Brisbane, Australia. He also serves as JPS Archives director mentioned his interest in distributing the film to Jayapataka Swami’s disciples worldwide, as it features extensive excerpts of His Holiness’s preaching work in Bangladesh.
